I am a 64 year old designer. I spent over 40 years designing hair. Ten years ago I battled breast cancer ,and decided to start doing the other things that I love.
After I was well again I started my own clothing designing. I have sewn since I was a young girl but I stepped it up.At first it was only for myself , but everytime I wore something I had designed I would have people stopping me.
As a larger woman I found I could not get the stunning clothing I wanted so I continued to study with some of the best surface designers and pattern makers around.Consequently I have a new business . I sell on ebay under elmer 61 blue or Art to Wear by Eileen Reed.
I am writing this blog so you can see and follow my art journey.
I live in Pa. with my husband Elmer,a Brussels Griffon and a Devon Rex cat. We have 3 children and 9 grandchildren.
Finally someone who knows what a Brussels Griffon is!!...can't wait to get the piece of your work from you!!...your art to wear is awesome!!
